Event Overview

Now in its seventh year, the Southern Automotive Quality Summit is a unique collaboration between the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association and the Automotive Industry Action Group. The ultimate success of the automotive industry hinges not only on maintaining, but continuing to improve, the quality of the vehicles and parts provided to the consumer. High expectations and new challenges continue to drive automakers and automotive suppliers to formulate and implement updated quality standards to prepare the automotive industry for the demands and technologies of the future.

Commitment to Quality

Showcasing the southern automotive industry's commitment to world-class quality the Southern Automotive Quality Summit attracts technical professionals and leaders seeking to improve their organization’s quality processes, systems and performance. Sessions led by Honda's Alabama Auto Plant will headline this year’s high-impact agenda, which will also feature presentations on supplier best practices, quality challenges, partnerships for future workforce, AIAG quality solutions and a highlight of Shelton State University's Quality Engineer program.

Feel the Need for Speed?

Then you are in luck! 60 very lucky attendees will have the chance to experience the world-famous Barber Motorsports Track in the seat of the new and all-electric Porsche Taycan! In the good hands of a professional driver, and reaching speeds of up to 120 mph, 3 passengers per car will take several laps around the 2.38 mile track, featuring 16 turns, 2 blind turns and 80 feet of elevation difference.

*No helmets or special attire required.* 

Participants will be randomly selected for Hot Laps on-site.
